Dynamic Websites Vs Static Websites

Dynamic websites differ from static websites in that Dynamic websites change instantly and automatically, while a static website changes only if someone changes it by hand. For example, the homepage of Twitter changes every time you look at it, it was updated automatically without a web designer. A good example of a static page is a website that never changes and always stays the same. In a static website, a web designer must go into the code to change something on the website. It is more cost effective to have a programmer make a dynamic website if your website is going to change often.

Apart from being able to make anything you like with custom programming, businesses and organizations usually choose between 4 major types of web applications.

E-Commerce:

An example of an E-Commerce website would be BestBuy.com. E-commerce websites have a great ROI if marketed properly. An E-Commerce website is the same as an online store. With E-Commerce websites, you can sell thousands of products without having them in your inventory. You can drop ship items and sell them at a marked up price to make a profit. Some stores sell online because of the low startup costs and low maintenance fees. With an E-Commerce website, you can reach an international audience and make money.

CMS (Content Management System)

CMS websites allow an editor with no knowledge of coding to change text and images on the website. A good example of a CMS would be the front page of a myspace profile. Once logged in to a CMS system, you can just fill in text boxes to update a website without having to know any code. This option is great for people who know they want to update their website often, but don't want to deal with costly engineer fees. Although there are some popular CMS systems like JOOMLA and others, we prefer to custom build each website, because pre-built systems are often bloated and too hard to use.

A Blog is a contraction of the term "weblog". Blogs are personal websites that are functional as a journal of sorts, except that its viewable to the public. A Blog is usually updated more than weekly and can contain anything from how your day was to how to get better credit.
